Excellent price-performance ratio
Acoustic blackout curtains (soundproofing) can be used in many different ways, such as:
As a barrier behind your window to reduce noise coming through the windows.
As window blackout curtains.
As thermal insulation for windows during the winter months.
As a shield against heat entering the room.
As a bonus, VB2GO curtains bring acoustic sound improvement to the room, reducing sound reflections, making any conversation in such a room much more pleasant, and improving understanding.
This significant reduction in room reverberation can also be used when you are creating some voice content that you are recording with a microphone. This could include Voice-over, singing, or playing musical instruments. Whether you are creating or listening to music, acoustic curtains will also be useful in office spaces, large film and video production halls, concert halls, or any other spaces where you need to improve sound quality both during recording and music production.
Another effect of VB2GO SonicVoid acoustic blackout curtains that you can utilize is soundproofing the room from the surroundings. If you place a large quantity of these curtains in a room, thanks to their massive sound-absorbing capacity, they will absorb most of the sounds you create, so you won't disturb the surroundings with your noise, much like our drummer or saxophonist customers do.

Installation
On the top side, you will find 12mm eyelets, the package includes hooks with rings, which you can use to hang the curtain on a rod with a diameter of up to 25mm. The eyelets themselves have a 12mm diameter hole and are nickel-colored. Upon your request, additional eyelets can be added to any other location.
Material
The acoustic blackout curtains for soundproofing SonicVoid, are filled with non-toxic recycled fibers made from a blend of cotton and polyester. Thanks to the large amount of this unique filling, the curtains have a great ability to absorb sound over a wide spectrum of frequencies. The surface material is high-quality, durable polyester fabric, and the filling is stitched every 5cm from top to bottom to keep it in place.
Sound Absorption
Using acoustic blackout curtains is the cheapest and most reliable way to reduce incoming noise in a room, improve sound when recording with a microphone, enhance communication clarity, or dampen sound coming from your drum set before it disturbs someone else.
As you can see in the top graph, when you hang a double-layer SonicVoid curtain evenly, you achieve sound absorption from 300Hz, with an NRC of 1.0. This means that the acoustic curtains absorb 100% of the sound from 300Hz and higher frequencies that reach them.
However, this does not mean that once you hang the curtains, all noise will stop. Noise usually contains lower frequencies than 300Hz (a lot of bass) and noise can also pass through unsealed gaps. So, the better you secure the curtain to the wall to minimize the gaps between the wall and the curtain, the less noise will penetrate the room.
If you install the acoustic soundproof curtains in a wavy pattern with waves approximately 15cm apart, you will achieve even higher sound absorption and less noise penetration into the room.
If you wanted to achieve the same NRC 1.0 results with acoustic foam, you would need to use full acoustic foam with a width of 12cm or needle-punched acoustic foam with a height of at least 18cm, and these are much more expensive options that need to be painstakingly glued to the wall!
And if you wanted to achieve the same NRC 1.0 results with regular blackout curtains, which usually have a weight of only around 300g per square meter, you would have to buy these curtains 8 times and hang them on top of each other!

Suitable for DJ and production studios
Acoustic soundproof curtains are an excellent way to quickly and affordably transform an empty room into a well-sounding studio suitable for music creation and mixing or for DJs.
Noise Reduction
VB2GO Noise-Reduction Curtains, with a weight 2600g per square meter, can create a strong barrier against noise. It's ideal to use them as window curtains to prevent external noise from entering a room. You can also hang them on mobile rails to divide a room into multiple sections. There are many ways to use these curtains, and it all depends on your creativity.
Many of our customers use these curtains to create a noise barrier when playing drums, saxophones, singing, and more, ensuring that they don't disturb their surroundings. However, it's important to note that these acoustic curtains are not soundproof; instead, they absorb a significant amount of sound, preventing it from bouncing around. This results in much more detailed and clear sound. As a result, less of the sound passes through the wall.
Excellent for Video and Film
When recording interviews, short films, or any video content involving spoken words, musical instruments, or singing, it's essential to capture the sound as clearly as possible, without any room reverberations. Acoustic noise-reduction curtains are perfect for this purpose because you can easily take them with you to any recording session. They are portable and can be hung on stands, which are commonly used during filming. This significantly enhances the audio quality of your video, giving it a professional touch.
Light Reflection
Both the black and double-sided white SonicVoid acoustic blackout curtains can also serve as reflective panels, providing softer lighting. You can either shine the main light (key light) directly onto the white side or place them side by side with the white side to create an additional reflective surface. This way, you might not need additional lighting (fill light).
However, please note that on the white side, you may find some minor imperfections, such as very subtle and almost invisible blue or pink stripes. The white fabric is not flawless because SonicVoid acoustic curtains are designed for efficiency at a low cost, not for appearance.
Absorbing Light
During filming, there are usually many lights present. However, sometimes you need to absorb light from a specific direction or create a darker space for monitors. This is where SonicVoid blackout curtains can be useful. The black surface effectively absorbs light from a specific direction while significantly improving the acoustics of the recording space.
Darkening and Noise Reduction
SonicVoid blackout curtains have a very high weight per square meter, up to 2600g. This is achieved by not just layering fabric on top of each other but by incorporating dense filling. This dense filling does not allow direct sunlight to pass through. The SonicVoid 2600 curtains provide 100% blackout, while the SonicVoid 1300 version offers 95% blackout.
The level of sound reduction depends on the sound's characteristics, bass sounds like music are less absorbed, while higher-pitched sounds, such as police sirens, are absorbed more effectively.
Suitable for Offices
These acoustic curtains are also suitable for offices and commercial spaces. By reducing noise, they significantly improve clarity, making it easier for you and your clients to communicate effectively. You can either mount the curtains on the wall or, if you have high ceilings, hang them from the ceiling.
Acoustic Solution for Large Spaces
Last but not least, these acoustic curtains can be used in large halls to reduce noise and create a suitable space for recording or playing music, singing, speaking, etc. Due to their high efficiency and low cost, you can cover large areas quickly and affordably. You can easily hang large curtains from the ceiling or attach them to walls or doors.
Other Uses
As you can see, there are many ways to use VocalBoothToGo's SonicVoid acoustic curtains. It's definitely a better and more affordable option than using acoustic foam, which lacks noise-reduction properties.
Increasing Effectiveness
To achieve even better sound absorption (noise reduction), we recommend leaving a gap of approximately 5-8 cm between the wall and the acoustic curtain. This air gap will make them even more effective.
Another significant way to enhance the effectiveness of SonicVoid acoustic blackout curtains is to hang them in a wavy pattern with approximately 15 cm waves. This can increase their effectiveness by 15%. Our deNoise curtains, with 40mm eyelets for direct hanging on curtain rods, are more suitable for this type of wavy installation.
Cleaning
You can wash SonicVoid 2600 acoustic blackout curtains in a washing machine capable of handling at least 20kg of laundry. However, in most cases, it may not be possible to wash such heavy noise-reduction curtains at home. You may need to take them to a professional laundry with large-capacity washers and dryers. This eliminates the need to deal with dust during cleaning, which is often a concern with fixed installations. Simply remove the curtains, have them washed, and then hang them back up (which is not possible with acoustic foam attached to walls).
Stitching
If you purchase the version of the curtains with one side black and the other side white, the stitching is done with white thread. This ensures that the white side remains perfectly white, and the white thread blends well with the black side, so it doesn't stand out. The stitching is parallel every 5cm, maintaining the curtain's shape, and keeping the filling inside in place.
For the double-sided black version of the curtains, black thread is used for stitching, resulting in a completely black curtain.
Note: Stitching may not be perfect and may have minor imperfections such as repaired gaps in the stitching or protruding thread ends. We make every effort to fix or conceal any flaws during custom adjustments to ensure that the product looks as good as possible. However, please keep in mind that SonicVoid acoustic blackout curtains are among the most cost-effective products on the market with the highest efficiency. They are designed for maximum effectiveness, not aesthetics.

Please note that SonicVoid acoustic noise-reduction curtains are utility products designed for functionality. You may find minor imperfections that do not affect their sound-absorbing ability. We strive to repair or conceal all flaws during custom adjustments so that the curtains look their best. Keep in mind that these curtains are not "soundproof" but "sound-absorbing" to prevent sound from reflecting in the space. Thanks to this sound absorption, they also act as noise-reducing curtains, similar to other acoustic curtains on the market. However, the VB2GO SonicVoid curtains have significantly greater weight per square meter than most other aesthetically pleasing acoustic curtains on the market, making them much more effective at noise reduction and sound absorption. Unfortunately, their surface material and stitching may not look as luxurious as velvet or molton fabric. Color-wise, expect that there may be some minor imperfections, such as very subtle and almost invisible blue or pink stripes on the white side. The white fabric is not flawless because SonicVoid acoustic curtains are designed for efficiency at a low cost, not for appearance. The black color is always perfect and without defects.
